From the viewpoint of practicality,the data of routine confined compression-collapse tests and dyna mic subsidence tests of loess from three loess areas of Xi'an,Lanzhou and Taiyuan under different moisture conditions are analyzed and arranged.Based on these data, the relation between the dynamic deformation characteristic parameter and the static deformation characteristic parameter is presented, and the possibility of evaluating the dynamic characteristic by using the parameter of routine static characteristic are discussed.
