The development and construction projects are divided into three categories of spot type, line type, and zone type projects in terms of spatial scale. Procedure and method of soil and water loss monitoring are discussed by taking soil erosion monitoring for zone type project for an example. Results indicate that we should choose remote sensing and remote measurement, as well as investigation and statistics, and combine plot measurement in the applied ground for zone type project.
